3rd Year HL Maths - Block 1

📘 3rd Year Higher Level Maths – Autumn 8-Week Block

📅 Wednesdays at 5pm (starting September 2nd, 2026)
🧾 8-week course | €30 per week | Small group setting

This first block is all about building the foundations for the rest of Junior Cycle Higher Level Maths. We'll spend the term focusing heavily on Algebra, because almost every topic that follows depends on it. Students who are confident in Algebra find the rest of the course significantly easier.

Every lesson is designed to build understanding first, followed by plenty of exam-style practice to make sure students can apply what they've learned with confidence.

What we'll cover:

🔢 Algebra Fundamentals
Expressions, equations, factorising, expanding brackets, fractions, indices and the core skills that appear throughout the Junior Cycle course.

📈 Functions & Graphs
Understanding relationships, interpreting graphs and building the algebra skills needed for coordinate geometry later in the year.

🎯 Problem Solving
Applying algebra in unfamiliar questions and developing the confidence to tackle Higher Level exam problems.
